The history of AEGEE-Poznań begins in 1992, when a group of zealots decided to arrange some actions in a changing Poland. Since then AEGEE-Poznań has organised many projects, both local and international.

European Students? Forum AEGEE-Poznań is one of the oldest, largest and most efficient active branches in East-Central Europe. We take part in all important European events and participate in shaping the future of our organisation.

Our antenna gathers about 50 students from the biggest universities in Poznań (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań University of Technology, Poznań University of Economics, University of Life Sciences). We organise various projects: panel discussions, conferences, debates, trainings, meetings. They cover the topics of: ecology, active citizenship, European integration, cultural exchange, negotiations, coaching. But in fact every idea has a chance to be realised ? the subject of following projects depends just on the creativity and engagement of AEGEE members.

AEGEE-Poznań on European level

AEGEE-Poznań is active not only on the local level. Since 1999 we have been shaping the image of AEGEE in Europe. It was during the autumn of that year when the group of zealots decided to organise in Poznań the first autumn Agora in Poland, which is one of the two most important events in AEGEE-Europe schedule. Just after the great success of this project (in our office there is still a huge banner since then) the AEGEEans from Poznań got hooked on the European level.

In May 2000, for the first time in ? the history of Polish AEGEE?, two representants from one branch joined the board of AEGEE Europe. Magda Maestri-Torzewska became a Secretary General and Agnieszka Wilk-Ilewicz took the position of Vice-president for Inner Education. In 2005 Joanna Piskunowicz worked as Human Resources Responsible, and then in 2006 as Vice President of HR. And finally, in 2009, Agata Patecka became the President of AEGEE Europe. Her annual term of office is remembered as dynamic and energetic, essential for AEGEE at that time.

The members of AEGEE-Poznań have been active not only in the CD. They have also taken positions in the Commission and contributed to many groups and projects on the European level.
